Computer Support Workers Forum - 23rd November 2006

  • Who is it for?
    * The Computer Support Workers Forum is a discussion forum aimed at individuals in the voluntary sector who have a responsibility for ICT or ICT support
    * Your role may be informal or formal, you may be the only individual in your organisation who knows anything about ICT, you may work in an ICT team or Head an ICT Department, ICT may be only part of your job description, and you may have a little or a lot of ICT experience
    * The purpose of the forum is to enable practitioners to learn from each other, share best practice, exchange information and network
  • What will be covered?
    * The CSWF will tie in with the publication of the ICT Foresight report: Campaigning and Consultation in the Age of Participatory Media
    * http://www.icthub.org.uk/research/
    * It will look at how voluntary and community organisations can use technology to aid their campaigning and also consult with their audience on key issues
    * We will also be having an open forum, giving you the chance to bring along your ICT queries and share the amongst the group
