Free IT and Internet Seminars for voluntary and community organisations
Organised by nfpSynergy and Charity Technology Trust (CTT)
Our next free seminar is on Thursday, 7th September, 2006 from 3-6pm at No. 1 London Bridge (3rd floor conference room). There are three hot topics on the agenda this time.
The speakers will be:
- Dave Ivy, Creative Director of Ellipsis Media on: "What's your game?", a look at best practice for and case studies of successfully commissioning, designing and maintaining interest in online interactive experiences including games, petitions and more.
- Emma Kirk, Strategic Director at User Vision on: "Usability rules", outlining the benefits of concentrating on the usability and accessibility of your website when designing or maintaining it, the key principles for creating a good user experience and the main activities that you and your web team can implement to ensure that the site design remains as user-focused as possible.
- Jude Habib, Communications Connoisseur, on: "The Power of Sound", how podcasting and online audio content can help get your organisation's message across, including thrid sector multimedia case studies.
The seminar will start at 3.15pm with teas, coffees and cakes and biscuits available from 3pm, and will finish around 5.30-6pm.
If you want to come, please email nfpinternet@ippimail.com, because numbers are limited (and so we can get a rough idea of numbers for catering).
If you can't make it, copies of the presentation will be available from our website after the event.
The seminar in the 3rd floor conference room is at No 1 London Bridge, Downstream Building (on the bridge itself on the south side, downstream).
The nearest tube and rail station is London Bridge (Northern and Jubilee lines), but Monument (on the Circle and District lines) is just across the river.
The seminars are an opportunity to network and hear three talks on subjects about IT and Internet issues highly relevant to voluntary and community organisations. They are free. At the end of the three talks there will be an opportunity for an open discussion.
We are always on the look-out for people or organisations who would like to speak about the work they are doing in the IT or Internet arena. It could be a case study, a new product or a piece of research. If you'd like to give a talk, please email me on ariel.spigelman@nfpsynergy.net
