Computer Support Forum - 6th September 2006 - NCVO London
The next Computer Support Workers Forum is being held on 6th September 2006, 2.00pm - 4.30pm at the NCVO offices in London.
Who is it for?
- The Computer Support Workers Forum is a discussion forum aimed at individuals in the voluntary sector who have a responsibility for ICT or ICT support.
- Your role may be informal or formal, you may be the only individual in your organisation who knows anything about ICT, you may work in an ICT team or Head an ICT Department, ICT may be only part of your job description, and you may have a little or a lot of ICT experience.
- The purpose of the forum is to enable practitioners to learn from each other, share best practice, exchange information and network.
What will be covered?
- Matt Hutchinson, from the CommIT (Community IT) project at Lancaster University Volunteering Unit, will be facilitating the session and will be focussing on using the internet to make telephone calls, also known as Voice over IP.
- Matt will be talking about CommIT's experience of VOIP, their learning and will give advice on implementation.
How much will it cost?
- It's free!
When and where?
- The CSWF will take place on Wednesday 6th September at NCVO, Regent's Wharf, 8 All Saints Street, London N1 9RL.
- Registration will be from 2.00pm - 2.15pm and we will close at 4.30pm.
